The Corporate CEOs and Governance!

America is confused about the role of Elon Musk, the billionaire tech trend setter, his direct control over Governance without having any link with citizens other than from a distance, the freedom given  not only to terminate sevice of professionals irrespective of their position but to dismantle the government agencies itself.

It is interesting to note that evaluation or assessment is often done by parties that are impartial and proved their capacity to be professional. Elon Musk with his capacity to terminate an entire section of his staff without any explanation only to seek their service again has proved many times over assessment is not his forte, other than when it is for profit. It beats any logic as to why Government agencies and their national secure data need to be shared with a person who does not consider the human rights of professionals as worthy of consideration.

The capacity to govern over government agencies has been given by President Trump through Presidential Executive Orders even when the US constitution does not give the US President such overarching rights over any and all agencies or its people.

It is necessary for Americans to ask themselves will they be ruled by their Constitution or by the Presidential Executive Orders from a President whose statement can be considered delusional at the best. He not only believes he has the power to take over countries, carry out war crimes with genocidal intent, he even believes American democracy has to be redefined not by American Citizens but by American Billionaires. He sees no issue that humanitarian efforts are shut at a blink of an eye and at the same time Mr. Musk has the freedom for trial and error when he journeying through his plans for travel to outer space and the environmental damage created  to be funded by the state or by tax payers.

Why is a billionaire who has least interest in managing people wanting so intensely to involve in the same. It is logical to conclude it is for data on the population and the interactive process of Governance. It is a gold mine to develop models beyond health or shopping habits.

Development of Governance models at various levels is very useful given the all invasive way technology is evolving especially as focus is to make everything specific and targeted at the individual level. This large data base can be used to develop models without incurring any expenditure and later can be sold back to American government and to others at a high price with no competitors.

Mr. President Donald Trump, you have stated it loud and clear that you are not particular about going by the book, when you thought crypto is a nice way to make billions and if there are grey areas about money laundering so be it.

Besides the fact that the entire process is immoral as per democratic principles and it's criminal as it violates human rights and also rights of  institutions put in place by government and its citizens, there is a need to look at the Tech CEOs profile and capacity to manage people other than for profit.

Mr. President these billionaires are incapable of making sensible assesment of Governance, for governance is beyond for profit, it is not annual share holders call but an important part and parcle of nation building.

These Billionaires are misfit because they are incapable of assessing, documenting or understanding a crucial aspect- the interactive live process between human beings  and reality, be it as individuals and as members of a group, especially when it is dynamic, flexible,  free and interactive. In the absence of this, tech experts will fail in developing reliable and viable models to address health care, humanitarian concerns, drug use management, gender reality, financial fraud, conflict management, or dispersed, diverse, integrated and distant acts of violence.

It is important for other Member States of UN to critically look at role of technology especially AI or Generative AI across sectors, for the manner in which technology is evolving and it's desire for accuracy individual will be become the target and product. It would mean surveillance and privacy invasion would be default setting. Under such circumstances one should ask questions beyond individual human rights, it should be about human rights of humanity, it's right to evolve, the scope for mind or thought to evolve when everything gets standardized and controlled, scope for human interaction and interaction with nature and reality to evolve, the scope for free space and dynamics to evolve.

Let not technology be the "strait-jacket" for humanity to exist, for that would be it's demise. Let not corporates think the society exists for the corporates, for corporates are a small factor of human existence and nation building. Thinking otherwise would be the end of humanity including that of the concept billionaire.

Living in the Margins

Molly Charles (1) Margin, a term familiar from tender age; notebooks with clear cut margins to delineate the main body of text, define it. The margins give it definite shape, a practice that continues into the virtual world. Among humans, it is these margins that give identity to the large majority we term normal. The often, porous boundaries offer a chance for individuals to slip through and slip back into either ‘normal’ or ‘marginal’ spaces. The decision to identify with marginal groups or positions can be a conscious one as with (gender identity, drug use), enforced as in (mental health, racial and caste based discrimination) and accidental for (drug use, stigmatized diseases). In certain instances, as with mental health, some individuals may find their being part of marginal groups a permanent reality, in most other instances individuals do move in and out of marginal groups, as a survival strategy to deal with marginalization. Even when physical spaces merge, with an emph...

Peace, Security & Fourth Industry, Technology—impact on Us and Our Becoming

Peace is something everyone can sense, and yet, find difficult to define. Its complexity, and simplicity is reflected in our restricted definition of peace as an absence of war/violence, even though we sense it is far beyond that.    Peace is a concept that exists beyond the boundaries of empirical reality, but we seek it within the realms of empirical reality, where power has the final say. We conceive it as a static state, where a world view palatable to u...

Drugs, Altered States of Consciousness & Us - Implications for Drug Policy

C enturies have gone by and yet we struggle in our waltz with Mind Altering Substances (MAS), our steps still falter and a probable safe distance evades our grasp. The yesteryears centered around finding mind altering substances in nature, from far and near; now we hone our skills in identifying the right chemicals or the means of manipulating molecular formations for creating MAS within kitchen labs or in the pharmaceutical industry. The presence of numerous substances to choose from has apparently not satiated user demand nor dampened the passion of enforcement agencies to exterminate the 'enemy'. There is an ever widening gap in the perception of MAS by users, numerous sub groups within the larger society, inclusive of enforcers of the Law. Users who adhere to cul...
